ACRONYMS

FCG - Fire Control Group Combination of Trigger, hammer, springs, disconnector.

I am a computer programmer, in business intelligence, in a health care company, non profit, with lots of government oversight.

When I started working for the company, I had a 240 page dictionary containing ACRONYMs and their meaning.

I mean we had (for example)

FCG - Fire control group
FCG2 - Fierce Castration Gantry
FCG3 - Flipping Coffee Grubber

BARF - I swear to God this is a system I have to work on.

I felt like I had been transferred to japan.

BeginningOfTheEnd, I think you may have just brought this thread to an end. As for acronyms and abbreviations, go to netlingo.com and take a look at the 50 or 100 most used text messaging acronyms and abbreviations. I was surprised, but then I'm an old guy.
