I have a 15-22 that has a high round count, (over 11k) and was wondering if there is a recommended replacement cycle count for replacing the action spring.

The rifle is running great with the Federal bulk pack ammo from walmart, was just curious if there are any factory recommendations. My current spring is a blue one, even though all the paint has long worn off.

I presume you are referring to the recoil spring. 11k isn't much of a round count, IMHO. You replace the spring when the rifle stops working. I would imagine maybe 100k, at least.

Oppps, yea, recoil spring.

Sounds like a plan. This is my 1st 22 rifle that I have shoot this much and not used to it. I know with center fire AR's there is a parts/spring replacement schedule and wasn't sure. (I know different animals)

Thanks for the reply; shoot it till it breaks sounds like a winner.....
