Adam Kokesh = Fraud?

Does anybody besides myself think Adam Kokesh is full of BS?

For those unfamiliar with Kokesh, he was discharged from the Marines on 2007 after becoming a high profile anti-war demonstrator.
Now he's trying to run for Congressman in New Mexico...

I don't know the entire story, but it seems he only became an anti-war demonstrator after he was demoted and almost kicked out of the Marines for buying a pistol in Iraq and trying to smuggle it into the US. Not really something a true pacifist does...

Well, at least you know he likes guns. A fair number of handguns were smuggled back from Iraq as souveniers, despite procedures and orders meant to prohibit the process.

I don't believe Kokesh claimed to be a pacifist at any point, since he volunteered both for the Marines and to go to Iraq. His beef was with what he felt to be mismanagement of the war, infringements on the rights of American citizens under the guise of anti-terrorism laws, and questioning the occupation of Iraq.

Since then, he seems to have been a busy fellow.

At least he's interesting and stirring things up a bit, beats most Congressional creatures these days. Shrug.
