Just got back from my grandfathers with his Colt Army Special in .38 special. Ive dated it by the serial number to 1919 and it has about 75% of its bluing left and original colt grips. The reason I bought it from him, it was just moldering in a holster for the past few years and its a family heirloom. He was given this gun by his dad when he left italy to come to this country. He used it to defend his bar and family through the 60's and 70's. Id like to pass this gun down to my kids or grand kids when Im in my mid 70's like he is. Plus its a great shooter and super reliable. I'll have a few pics up in a day or two.

Look forward to seeing the pics.
The Army Special is a nice shooting old revolver. Nice balance and heavy enough you hardly notice the recoil.
Mine is one of my favorite "old" guns to shoot. It`s a little newer than yours, made 1926 and in 32-20. It`s in nice condition for it`s age, but not so nice that shooting it will harm its value any.
