I'm a big fan of Italian pistols and own several from Bernardelli now. :)

I’m not exactly sure how many years they built this pistol, but I don’t think it was long at all. They were imported by Magnum Research in the early 1990's. This is the only one I ever saw, so I know there aren’t many floating around. I haven’t even seen one on Gunbroker in a long time and I search Bernardelli pistols quite often there. As you can see from the “AU” date code, this was built in 1989, which the year the P010 was introduced.

Though I haven’t shot it yet, my initial impressions are that this gun is of very high build quality with an impressive trigger. The trigger is adjustable and much, much nicer than the older, more common Bernardelli rimfires. This was the best 22 they ever built. It was their flagship, so to speak. The gun actually reminds me of my Beretta 89 quite a bit in terms of look and feel. However, the 89 is larger still, has an aluminum frame, and some key design differences.

Please enjoy the pics. Thanks for reading.

Here it is with my Beretta 89 so you can see the similarities and differences. They were built about the same time, so they must have competed over in Europe a bit.

Here is my Bernardelli family of pistols. I pretty much own all the notable models at this point. While none of them are particularly easy to find, the P010 and Practical VB are very scarce. They are all really nice pistols.

P018 Compact, P018, P One, P010, and Practical VB

That's a nice looking gun, it definitely has the high end European bullseye look to it. After you shoot it, give us the results. I'm sure it will shoot as good as the Hammerli's etc. Have fun, Larry.
