Finally found me a semi-auto today.
I had to go run some errands around the town I grew up in and decided I'd browse a few of the gun/pawn shops there.

I've had an older Glock that I'm not fond of siting in the safe for a while so I packed it up and took it along looking for a trade.
First one I went to had a nice selection of used stuff with a 5903 and 5906 I was interested in but the guy that does the trading couldn't get off the phone long enough to do any business so after waiting over 1/2 an hour I headed down the road.
The next one was a new place I've never been to with a nice indoor range and great gun section with several used Smiths.

After we got the trading done I ended up with a model 459 and some free range passes. It came with 2 magazines, 1 factory and 1 aftermarket, wearing a set of Pachmayr signature series stocks. It needed a cleaning and oiling but I really liked it so we made the deal. It's got a scratch or 2 here and there on the finish and missing a stock screw but it sure works nice and smooth after cleaning and oiling. It also came with a box, but a box for a 3rd generation pistol with all the paperwork, the guy said that's how they took it in.
Going to place a want ad for factory stocks and grip screws, the Pachmayrs are just to bulky for me.

I'd sure like to find a set of the wood stocks with the SW medallion..Those would be my first choice, I do think it would look much better wearing a set of them.

Been down the trade-swap route myself. No More!! Missed my 39-2 and replaced it with a CS-9 in stainless back in 99. Good move as I see they are hard to find and going for good bucks these days. Darn nice little compact.
