Advantage Arms "Target" conversion kit?

Does anyone know if the STI conversion kit made By Advantage Arms will work on the frame of the S&W 1911 model 108282? I called Advantage Arms, but they were no help.
They gave me a standard answer that their unit will work with all 1911 pistols made to mil. specs.
As far as I know the S&W 1911 is not made to mil. specs.
Any information you have would be great.

I have that kit and it works great on Kimber frames, which I understand are made by Smith & Wesson for Kimber. I have two S&W 1911s but never tried the kit on them.

I can tell you from frustrating experience that Kimber conversion kits do not work on Kimber frames. My kit was back to Kimber four times, the last three with my frame, and even when they replaced it on the fourth visit, I experienced a 74% failure rate! But the Advantage Arms kit works flawlessly on that same Kimber frame, so go figure.

STI as in wide body? With the blue foam? At a minimum the mag won't work. The standard 1911 Target kit should work fine.
