I have a chance to get a S&W 4006 lnib with 2/11 round mags as a trade for my glock 22 with 3/15 round mags.

Do i take the trade or not.I have shot the 4006 and i like it as much as my g22 but is it worth it,or better yet would you trade

I would keep the Glock if you like the S&W about the same as the Glock.

Do you carry the G22? If so what about the leather goods that you already have invested in. How much is it going to cost you to replace the holsters, belts, mag carriers, etc? Also if you carry the G22, look at the weight difference between the S & W and the Tactical Tupperware. Just a couple of things to consider.

I do carry the g22 on a daily basis but i carried a 4046 for a some time.As far as weight,i'm used to it.I would have to buy a new holster, seeing that i am a lefty.

For me it's no contest as the Glock just does not fit my hand. I have a 4006 as well as a Sigma 40F, and it came as a complete surprise to me that the Sigma handles and shoots better better for me than the all steel 4006.

Dave

Glocks just don't fit my hand very well. They are fine guns, but they don't shoot point of aim for me. I would have to try a Hogue hand all to make it work. So, for me, I would go with the 4006. Either way you end up with a nice gun.

The used Glock is probably worth 450ish. The 4006... eh... Maybe 350ish. There's been a glut of third generation autos on the market.

I bought a M4006 in excellent condition for $329 + tax about a year ago, at a local gun show.

A dealer at another show had Glock M22's, in about the same condition, 6 months ago, for the same price.

The excellent condition 4006's available around these parts have pretty much dried up. The M22's are still around but, at the $350 mark now.

I prefer the M4006 but, if I had to carry it several hours a day, every day, the Glock would get my vote.
