Advice on the 4566

The 4566 is fine. The only caution is to get plenty of extra mags and springs and spare parts now, as I keep seeing threads that S&W is not providing parts and service for the 3rd Gen guns any longer. Whether this is correct is anyone's guess, but S&W is focusing on its M&P line and apart from California and New York City specific models (4006CHP and 5946NY) it is not clear to me that they are doing much with the 3rd Gen guns. They certainly are not with respect to commercial sales.

The 4566 is a great gun. At one time it was the issued duty weapon of LAPD's SIS. They shot a good number a real aholes in real life shootouts with them.

I Be-live it's Just Unappreciated Plus They Where Heavy And Every One Was Going For The 1911s Back A ways , I Still Like Mine (4566) Just Like Your Intentions .
