Bought at an Ohio gun show, $550, with matching original blue box and papers. Not NIB, but very clean. Locks up tight, smooth, very accurate at the range. Zero trigger creep.
Serial AUB 75XX no dash. If I paid too much...it's OK, I ain't selling it. I just want an approximate value for insurance. My adult daughters insist I keep insurance on the collection because they have already decided
who gets what. Yeah,I thought it was weird, too.

What you paid is a good price, not too much and not too little. Est date to the mid to late 80's. The 3 Alpha s/n's are very difficult to date as those prefixes were used over several years. Only a letter from the Historical arm will give you a closer date.

That is a good price for a great gun. The 4" barrel lengths are getting tough to find. I am looking for one myself. That gun would easily sell for 700 plus.

Same here in Nevadastan.

I might be a bit out of date. We usually run $200-ish more than free states.

The 586 no dash is pretty desirable but I won't pay what most are asking around these parts.

OP, nice gun at a good price IMHO. From your photos it looks like you have the box with the gun. If so, post the numbers shown under the SPEC ORD on the label. That will be the Julian date the revolver was shipped.

Congrats on raising two smart women... ;)

Oh... by the way... if you want to stay smarter than your daughters have them pay for the insurance.
