I'm looking for a source to peg the manufacture date on our S&W 645, Serial # TBW3198, which has become my favorite .45 to shoot. And if there is a better source for additional factory magazines than eBay, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.

There isn't a free source of factual shipping information. A S&W Historical letter will give you the information you desire but it's not free. I own a Model 645 that I purchased new in January 1988. It's serial# is TBF9436. If you look at the box end label you will see the SPC. ORD. code (7323) which I believe is the day the firearm was completed and boxed. The code is a Julian date. In this case the number 7 is the year (1987) and the 323 is the day in the year (November 19th). From looking at many box end labels over the years, the SPC. ORD. code doesn't always seem to fit the Julian date format. I've seen several end labels with the last 3 digits higher than 365 (days in the year). So, I'm not sure what is up with those, maybe special orders? Anyway, your's by the serial# was built after mine. I can't help you with finding magazines but I'm on eBay constantly and see them listed frequently.
