I'm down to my last 1 1/2" on my stogie. I don't have any more here in the house, and it's too late now to go into town and get some more. And it's still to early to go to bed. RATS ..

Do like my homesteading Uncle did back in the 1920's. Chew the last half. You'll be glad to go to bed..:(

If you find yourself leaving home and driving around town in the middle of the night for a smoke..................guess who is in charge!!!:):):)

Quitting time.

I know, but having a cigar now and then, it's one of the few pleasures I have left in life!!!!!!!

As with ammo, reloading components, good whiskey, cold beer, or a good smoke, any addiction should be treated with equal concern. Never let your cupboard get below a couple of months supply!

I gave up tobacco 39 years ago, way before it was the fashion.

BUT:

I will NEVER totally give up my see-gars. Not totally. 3 or 4 times a year I'll buy a 5-pack of Travis Club Senators. Mostly birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the one or two odd occasions that come up in the course of a year.

They are cheap but have a great smooth flavor and don't "bite" my tongue.

But as a special treat I will take advantage of every opportunity when in the Caribbean or any other place where they are legal and imbibe in how ever many time permits of my very favorite....the Cuban Monte Cristo. One cautionary note though: When buying them in these tourist traps in the Caribbean you need to be aware that all of them are not fresh. A stale Cuban is not good. They don't burn evenly and they burn HOT.

I have a place locally here that sold cigars made from tobacco that was grown in Honduras from Cuban seeds and they were very good but that shop went belly up and I haven't located any place else that has 'em.

I have all but stopped using tobacco but I will always enjoy a good cigar on those rare occasions. Other than my passion for gunsmoke and Hoppe's #9 it's my only addiction.

My New Year's resolution was to burn more powder. So far I've been able to live up to it, in conrast to several of my earlier resolutions.

My son in New Foundland sent me a box of Cuban Cohibas. Canada never signed on to Kennedy's grudge match with Castro. My other son will be home from his job up in the oil fields on the North Slope next week. We'll each fire one up out the deck when he gets here.

Awww..no more in the house, are you sure? Have you really
searched? Maybe in the garage. Seems cigar lovers sometimes
leave one out in the garage for "just in case" Popular Cuban
brand "El Ropo" seems to be a fav.

You need to invest in a nice humidor and stock your favorites.
0600 or 2300 hours, you'll have a good smoke at hand.

Nope, I've got one now that was given to me as a gift...If I filled it, then I'd be smoking more that I want or should. But a good stogie now and then......Well, like I said that one of the few pleasures I can still get out of life....

Like I said last night, it was getting later in the evening and it's a drive of about 28 miles into town, just to get a cigar?????

Nah...I don't have the bug that bad.

Now here it is morning, and a nice cup of expresso, Well, that's another of my down falls. (But no cigar to go with:(:(:(:()

Maybe some fried eggs, with some fried pototoes, maybe a half a pound of bacon, 2 pieces of toast with a sick of butter.....Just to get my cholesterol up for the day....:D

When I go, I want to go with a smile on my face.....And maybe with a cigar in my hand:p:p:p

When I'm in my box, in the ground, I won't be able to enjoy these things any more!!!!!!!!
