Ahrends boot grips vs Pachmayr Renegade

I have been looking for a set of Ahrends boot grips for a Round butt N frame ( to fit a 625 45ACP I have) and of course, the Ahrends are hard to find anymore. Pachmayr makes a boot grip called the Renegade which looks similar, made of wood. Does anyone have a set of these and a set of the Ahrends and are they close in size and feel?

I have a set of renegades in K/L. As far as finger groove grips go, I really like them. Mine are Rosewood (laminated if I remember right). You can find them on that site (N frame) for $40 ish. Only available in round butt. Bob

I think those Pachmayrs are made in China....that should end your search...
