AI is really getting dangerous & scary!

@chief38 I fear that AI is the crisis of our time. This destabilizes everything. Truth, reality, communication are now up for grabs. Our good friends, the billionaire tech bro's, did this to us. Don't worry about fighting your little battles because we have already lost the war.

Note: I hope to God there's someone on this forum who can prove me wrong.

A couple of gun forums that I belong to are owned by a Canadian firm.......They integrated AI in reply to threads with low post counts......................I may be leaving them soon..........Their AI answer app goes by the name Frank......in addition reading all post .......IT COULD/CAN put your data in a data bank for further use.

I wonder why some folks show trepidation at AI. It's not like anyone is coercing them to use it or watch it.
I certainly hope that is sarcasm, because if it isn't, It seems that the whole object of this thread is that you don't know what is real. Do you know the stuff you aren't forced to watch is real? It's not a matter of being forced to watch it, it's if you watch it is it real?

35 years ago I was asked to play a game of chess against a game my friend had named Boris, or something like that. After you moved, it would tell you where it wanted to move in red letters moving across this narrow screen. During the game, Boris threw something at me I had not seen before. I made a bad choice of moves, which eventually lead to my losing the game. "Good Game." went across the screen.

During our second game, Boris threw the same move at me. I tried a different response this time. "You remembered." went across the screen.

Today's chess engines are so awesome. My point is how they remember and even learn from you, making them smarter. That has me wondering a lot about AI.
