I have posted Bob Bowen's photographs before and gotten positive responses. Bob recently quit hos job and decided to go on a journey across North America. He started at the top. I hope you enjoy his shots from Alaska.

Who wanted the close up?

How cute you invited Yogie to the picnic lunch.

Always make sure someone in the group is slower that you are.

Run Forest run.

Did you know when your scared you can run as fast as you want too

Who has the s&w 500? U left it in the camp?

I wish this was a video so we could actually see who the slowest guy is?

Is this going to be another faces of death movie?

The camera guys look scared.

It is truly sad that no one is stopping to help their fallen comrade back to his feet! My bet is the guy that has fallen down is going to be recycled into bear fertilizer real soon. But it will be worth it as he did not drop the camera!

Thanks for sharing his latest bear photos. Some of them are too cute! Really enjoyed looking through his albums again. Had to pass the link on to another photography friend of mine.

That's the key to survival, run faster than your companions, if not, slow them with a flesh wound.
My money's on the dopey running with the big floppy whatever that is. Probably going to trip over it in the next few steps, then the bear can circle back at his leisure and finish off the fool who managed to strangle himself on his own camera strap!

Would love to know what lens Bowen used for his shots as well as Bushmaster! My friend is betting at least a 400! ;)

I'd love to get to Alaska one of these days with the camera!

Thanks Bushmaster! I can't imagine being close enough for a 200 lens. Then again, out of all the times we've been in bear country I've only seen 1 and I was driving my truck and he was running down the road in front of me.
