Starting load with AL-7 is 5.2 grains, Max Load is 5.6 grains Doesn't seem to be much wiggle room. Hope This Helps

Went way back into my load books and found some info on many calibers with it. I shot some of it in the .44 Mag. yesterday with the start load listed and it did very well.

However, I used mostly AL-8. Loads can be found in Speer #7, Speer #8 and most of the other manuals from the early 1970s.
