Hey guys. Wanted to see if anyone has picked up one of the new Alien Gear rigs yet? They have an awesome triple warranty and are very reasonably priced. I plan on getting one but wanted to get some feedback on them if possible. Thanks all!

I have Alien Gear holsters for my Shield and LC9 w/crimson trace. Truly like these holsters. Very comfortable. High quality. I miss them when I'm not wearing them. I recommend giving one a try. If you don't like it they'll refund your money.

Ordered one a few days ago. How long does "normal ground shipping" take. Can't find info on their web site.

I ordered one on eBay for my CZ 2075 RAMI two days ago. It shipped yesterday and according to the tracking number I was given it has yet to leave AR. The time frame window on eBay, however, said it has an estimated delivery date of 31 October through 6 November. A rather wide date range, I'll grant you, but still better than waiting weeks or months for delivery from other manufacturers. The cost was certainly right, too. I really would have preferred using leather, but price, availability, and the positive reviews I have read online and seen on YouTube convinced me to give one a go.

I apologize for the lengthy and rather pointless post. I'll certainly let you know what I think of it, Cburgsurvivor, if it comes in before you acquire yours.

Take care.
Aaron

i am considering one of these...i already have an old faithful holster and am wondering if these two companies are related. the holsters seem almost identical and they are located in the same town...

with that being said, i love my old faithful holster, but it is owb and i think i want to try an iwb holster. the alien gear is a few bucks cheaper...

Woah, I'm ordering one tomorrow, I like the shell trade part of the warranty, If I ever change guns, they'll trade me back the old shell for one that fits my new gun! :-o

I ordered one a couple of days ago for my Model 39-2. For $12 more, I ordered an additional shell that will fit my XDm 45. I have an IWB from Firearmholster.com for the XDm, but I needed something to compare. $30 bucks is pretty reasonable and I've heard no complaints about Alien Gear.

Ive got one for my 229 and the outer shell is made of thick plastic, not kydex. It does carry comfortably and conceals well.

Well I took a chance today and ordered one for my wife for her new Shield. I like that they give you 30 days to try it. After she has worn it for a bit I will try and get a write up going.

I received my Alien Gear IWB on Thursday of last week. I wore it Friday and through the weekend, and have come to the conclusion it is not a holster for me. The quality is top notch, no question there. I really like the thickness of the leather and the kydex shell, and it fit my CZ quite well. For whatever reason, however, I could not get comfortable with it, regardless of any adjustment I made. I found this odd as I have used Crossbreeds in the past with no problems whatsoever. It's a shame as the price was excellent, the shipping was quick, and the quality was outstanding. Unfortunately, it is being returned. Back to holster shopping. Sigh.

My friend ordered one and it took a week and a half to receive. He absolutely loves it! I think I'm gonna give one a try. I'll report back once I get it and try it for awhile. Seems hard to beat. Thanks all for the feedback.

Mine arrived !

USPS delivered mine this past Monday, 11/5. I ordered it on 10/26 so it took about ten days to get here. Tonight I finally had the chance to sit down, open everything up and examine same. I decided the retention from the factory was a bit tight so I adjusted it and am now wearing the holster. Time will tell if any further adjustments are necessary. As the holster and I get "to know" each other, I'll keep you updated of my opinion of it and any further adjustments.

Very Comfortable but...

It is very comfortable but re-holstering seems difficult. I put larger spacers on to "open-up" holster and re-holstering is much better! Will continue to break-in holster and let you know.

UPDATE: I wore my new AG IWB all day yesterday. A walk to the bank, running errands in the car including Home Depot where I was reaching high to help move sheets of plywood around and even a Walmart "ninja" run! It concealed well and was very comfortable. I have asked AG if they have even taller spacers to really open up holster mouth for worry-free re-holstering. Will let you know what their response is. BE SAFE OUT THERE!

I got mine for a S&W Sigma. I was able to reheat the kydex and remold it to the contours of the Crimson Trace laser attached to the trigger guard.

The holster I ordered for my wife's Shield came in yesterday. Took 20 odd days from the time I ordered it. Not bad considering how long custom holsters can take. Overall I have only had a chance to glance it over, but fit and finish is fine. It is after all just a piece of leather with plastic screwed to it. The Shield fits the holster very well, it's not too tight just as it came, re-holstering is a non-issue. I know some here had trouble with theirs. After she has worn it for a bit I will post up.

I have always thought that for such a simple holster, some of the other makes were overpriced. I paid $60 for my Galco and I can't see where it's twice the holster this one is...

I have one for my M&P 45c. VERY nice holster, adjustable retention and very comfortable. Just not my style for IWB carry......still shopping.
