The Blade Tech Klipt and a Galco leather owb (simple scabbard) have both been holster homes for my Shield. I finally decided to try an Alien Gear IWB. Suggestions from satisfied users please.

Thanks, and a happy, safe Thanksgiving to all!

Well, I'm not quite a satisfied user, but I am not an upset one either. I recently got an Alien Gear IWB holster for my Detective Special. It was made really well and fit the gun ok. There were all kinds of adjustment options you can do to the holster. However, the holsters are quite large in my opinion. The leather backing is way to long and the hardware is too cumbersome even though that isn't exactly why it didn't work out for me. I am a small and skinny person. Due to the overly large size, it would not fit me. It couldn't bend to the contour of my hip. It looking like I was hiding a book in my waist band. Definitely not so good for skinny folks. If I am going to carry concealed, I want it to make as small a footprint as possible. I now use a Galco tuck IWB holster and it is fantastic. The quality of the AG holster is good and you can't beat their warranty, but just not meant for my size. I hope you have bette success.

My husband and I both carry the Shield almost daily on a Cloaktuck 2 for about a year. The added stiffness of the Cloaktuck 3 would help re-holstering.

The neoprene backing is comfortable against the skin, and impervious to moisture. We are both tall and large, and can carry comfortably all day on Galco SB2 holster belts. YMMV

I am a user of the AG holster. Believe the one for the Shield is the 2.0 model with the plastic core between the layers. Have the 3.0 for the Sig 1911. Like the steel core for the heavier gun. I like the AG holster, certainly worth the asking price. It took me about 3 days to get the adjustment like I wanted it. I live in the deep south (heat + humidity!!) and the Shield disappears under a tee shirt. I carry at about 4:00 and it tucks well. My only issue is I have failed to get the back clip hooked on my belt on 3 occasions and I could feel the gun ride up as I walked around. A trip to the restroom fixed the problem. The holster will conform to your body while wearing, but will not hold that shape overnite. You have to verify placement each time you put it on. Overall, a good IWB holster.

YMMV

I have two original AG holsters. One for my house Shield, and one for my EDC Ruger SR 1911 CMD. Both excellent holsters! Alien Gear is a great value, and customer service is second to none. You can try one for thirty days, not satisfied, simply return it. Doesn't get much better than that.

I ordered my AG Cloak IWB holster and have had it almost 8 months now. It is comfortable and a decent holster. They are very affordable and customer service is great. I also ordered the Crossbreed IWB and find that a more substantial holster and carry it more times than not. The AG just isnt as well made and the price reflects that, with that said I do not regret purchasing it and their policy of free kydex shell exchange is unmatched.

My AG IWB is the only holster I own. It is very comfortable and adjustable and was freaky inexpensive.

I'm ready for something else now, the pressed in nuts that the belt clip attaches to are working their way out and they are sharp... I ended up with sores on my right "cheek" 3 times before I figured out it was the holster digging in.

The size is great, the quality is way above the price IMO, before I buy something else I will check their site and see if there are other nut options, but they are a great company and I would buy another.
