Ok... I have a line on a VERY clean 1976 5" 27-2 with TH / TT
NO box / NO docs

It is being sold through a store, locally. They have a little over $1000 on the tag.

27s are VERY hard to find here in GA. It seems like the guys in the northeast run into 27s for 600-800 bucks all the time. I visit 4-5 LGS at least once a week and never see prices that low.

I value the TH/TT on an N-frame at an additional $150 over a narrow hammer and trigger. (I have even swapped some out, because I like them that much)

All fluff aside, about what I value the gun for personally, what is a decent offer for this?

Opinions from the Southeast, extra appreciated!

Thanks!

Here in Arkansas, that particular gun would be $800-1100, so if I were you I would be at the ATM pulling out what I could to adopt a new safe queen. Gunbroker.com has some for about $850 and up. If is not going to drain your bank account or gun money fund, get it and enjoy.

Since it doesn't seem like it's beyond the norm of $8-11 hundred, if you really want it that bad, I'd go for it. I've got a 27-9 in nickel with a 6.5" barrel and I love it. I wouldn't trade it even for a .44 Magnum. I'd just go out and buy a .44 to match it. I never said I'd never want a .44, my wife did.

I bought a Model 27-2, Nickel, 6" barrel, 98%, TH, TT, TG, no red ramp front sight, presentation kit, tools, but no docs last fall for $949.00. Granted, prices have gone non-linear since Sandy Hook.

I agree with the other forum members. The seller's price appears to be about $100-$150 higher than I would expect for this revolver, based on your description. I am seeing prices for firearms on GA, GB, and GI to between $100.00-$500.00 higher than they should be since December of last year. This factors in the impact created by our "friends" in The White House.

I am located to the east of you, but cash speaks pretty strongly here when it's time to negotiate.

I agree, probably a little high. I recently picked up a 1959 27 no dash 8 3/8 barrel in 98% with nice Cokes for that price online. That's where I find alot of mine is online.

I watch them all the time and think that is very reasonable given todays prices for such an example. I want a pre model 27, 5" and they are considerably higher for one in that condition.

Just bought a 3 1/2in M27-2 (have not even taken delivery yet) and my next will be a 5in version. I made a huge mistake by selling the two I already had...won't happen again. Very good deal IMO.

I could not have walked away from that one. I am in SC and visit gun stores weekly. I never see 27's either. I am also looking for a 5 inch 27-2,a 57 and a 25. I never see any of these models.
