First up: A first year .357 Registered Magnum. Reg#377, SN 46575. Shipped August 29, 1935 to Dunlap-Peeler Hardware Co. in Macon, GA (letter included). This gun letters as an original 3.5", but it left the factory in blue. It obviously underwent a polish and nickel refinish sometime during its past 75 years. Here's how it shipped from the factory per the letter:
3.5" barrel, Call gold bead front sight, square notch rear sight, blue finish, checkered walnut grips with grip adapter. It was sighted in at 25 yards with .38 Special Winchester Super X ammunition at 25 yards using a dead center hold.
The mechanics and bore are perfect. Action is smooth as silk. When I got this one, it was totally nickel and was wearing post-war diamond grips. I replaced the front sight with a correct style and height Call's brilliant bead, a NOS correct square notch rear sight blade, and an as-new correct concentric groove hammer matched with its factory-fitted trigger. They both have vivid case colors. The grips are also the correct type, but were not on the gun when I received it and I cannot make out the serial on the back. Aside from the grips, all numbered parts match and are original to the gun, including the rear sight base. The original grip adapter was long gone and I do not have one for an N frame.
This would make an great BBQ gun! It's a great shooter. It would also be worth considering a full restoration since it is an early gun with the desireable short barrel.
Price: $1,700 letter and shipping/insurance included to your FFL or C&R. SPF to Dan

Here's a picture of it in outside light a few weeks ago. (I'm working midnights for several weeks and haven't seen the sun in a while). Sorry, but the ivory grips and early Tyler's are not included.

Next is a very nice .32 Hand Ejector Model of 1903, 5th Change SN 128566 with 4-1/4" barrel. This one would have shipped prior to WW1. Mechanics, chambers and bore are like brand new. It could not have had much more than a box of rounds through it in its lifetime. It shows some holster wear to the blue, but zero rust or pitting. I would say the high-luster blue is about 75%. If you don't have one of these, you need one! They are a joy to shoot. Lowered to $300 shipped to your FFL or C&R.

Last is a 4" .38 M&P Model of 1902, First Change SN 55948.
This is a pre-5 screw four screw frame. (No bolt spring screw in the trigger guard. It would have shipped in 1903 or 1904. This one has the early style flat trigger return spring, cylinder hold open pin, and solid hammer/firing pin rivet with patent info on the side versus the top.
The good: It is in excellent mechanical shape. Timing, and lockup are spot on. Endshake is minimal. Chambers are clean. Bore has a little pitting but it is still very shootable. It's still as accurate as any.
The bad: It most likely spent years in a holster where the tanning acids caused some harm. It has some light pitting and loss of nickel, particularly on the cylinder. Original finish is still a good 40-50% and it would probably clean up a lot better. Also the grips are replacements.
Price: $175 shipped to your FFL or C&R. SPF to John
