Almost Car Jacked....

My dad almost got car jacked in Albuquerque. Luckily his doors were locked and he was able to drive off.

He doesn't own any guns but he keeps talking about how friends and acquaintances are getting guns and ccw permits now so firearms and ammo come up a lot during discussions.

He's not anti-gun that I know of, he just has decided not to own any and I can respect that.

I go all over town at all hours and have yet to see much that threatens bystanders except in the Katrina Apartment Complexes. For a city this size, I think that it is very safe. Of course, I am pretty tall and scary myself.

this topic sure speaks to the down fall of our society.I remember as a kid hearing that no civilization has existed for more than 200 yrs. as a leader in the world. I also remember learning that Romes' downfall was due inpart to their imigration laws, and the territory their troops were forced to cover thus spreading thin and weakining their defense.

Bob,
Glad you were on the ball and got the heck out of there. Good situational awareness!!

I'm impressed.

My brother was in Kansas city a few years ago sitting at a stoplight when a black gangbanger walked up to his driver side window and shot at him point blank. The guy missed my brother and ran to a waiting car and sped away. The police said it was a gang initiation. They said it happened all the time. A few years ago the same thing happened to a guy who lives near me. He was shot in Columbus Ga. while at a stop light. He was shot in the abdomin, but was able to drive away before the guy shot him again or his wife who was in the passenger seat. He was also told it was a gang initiation.
