I just had this made by a nice young up and coming local gunsmith. I am pretty psyched to get these old pre war magnas going again. He did a nice job and the price was right, $20. It's not like it's going to pass for an original but it is dimensionally correct and it's close enough to not just grab my attention and bother me.

Very, very cool. I never thought of doing that but will file the idea away for future reference.

Good idea. Machinist skills can be a real help when tinkering with old
