Alvin White engraved .357 Magnum. Black moon, often inlaid in gold. Instead, mine is highly polished and often picks up a lot of iridescence as the light hits it. A super cool feature that was well thought out by the engraver. A small detail I thought would be of interest to those that appreciate the little nuances of engraved arms.

What a gun!
Alvin was truly something.
I just HAD to rotate the pics.
That is a wolverine I assume?

Thanks! I reposted rotated pictures. They appear much better now. The inlay looks like a Badger to me. But I can see it resembling a Wolverine as well. I have seen this similar scene used by Mr. White on a few other revolvers.

Phoenix, right?

Only during working hours, but Mesa the rest of the time.:D If I owned that one it would probably have to be a daily carry, with a home display stand next to my bed for night time storage, as I am not sure that I could tolerate being separated from it...:);)

One of my favorite treatments on that gun is the clouds drifting across the moon.

way, Way, WAY COOL...:cool::cool::cool:

Slightly different artistic expression of the AAW cloudless moonlit fox scene on the right side plate of my prewar Magnum...

... which currently sports a set of KB custom stocks.

That is one of my all-time favorite engraved S&W. Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us. :)

All these make me wish I could personally hold them and look. The pictures are very nice, though. I like the fact it shows a blue moon. Maybe one like that only came around every blue moon?
