AM I THE ONLY ONE????

Apparently, some people who actually attended the game had a problem staying awake for the whole thing. Wonder what he paid for his ticket?

I believe he did wake up for the rest of the game, though.

This unidentified man was captured sleeping during the first quarter of Super Bowl LIV in Miami, Florida, on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020.

I did enjoy the 1975 film, Black Sunday, based on Thos. Harris's book of that name.

The plot involved using the Goodyear blimp to kill the audience in the Super Bowl. I'm surprised that terrorists never managed that in real life. It'd be a prime target.

.....

I probably saw more of the Super Bowl in that movie than at any other time.

Now for the submachine guns ...

I have attended only one live pro football game in my life, which was between Dallas and Philly back sometime in the early 1980s when I was living a little west of Fort Worth. And then only because someone gave me tickets. After the hassle of fighting traffic to get there, finding a parking space about a mile away from the stadium, and forcing our way through the crowds, I decided that my first time would be my last time. During that same time period, I was working for Eddie Chiles, the then-owner of the Texas Rangers. I could have used his luxury box at the Arlington stadium any time he wasn't going to be using it, but I cared so little about baseball I never even once did it.

I watched the "highlights" after the game. Looks as if it was a good game,
but I couldn't care less who won. I do enjoy college football. Boise State
Broncos in particular.

A Swede and a Dane? Swedish M-45 and a Madsen? Or the Swede may be a S&W M-76. I sometimes confuse them.

Some stats that amazed me:

Ticket cost in 1967: $15. Ticket cost 2020: $2500.

30 second commercial time price 1967: $75000. 30 second Commercial price 2020: $5.6 million!

No inflation..yea..right. Personally I would not go to a game if they paid me the $2500...

unless Janet was going to flash again...:)

From what I heard, the HT show made Janet look like Mary Poppins.

I watched the game except for the show. It was a pretty good one. I was glad to see Andy Reid get the win.

Being an ex-Limey, my sports were Rugby and Cricket. In the 51 years I have lived in the US, I saw one "Football game" Since I was on the Faculty at UGa in 1968, I had a season ticket to Sanford Stadium on the 50 yd line. After one half game, I simply gave the season ticket to one of my colleagues (a Yankee no less) and never watched another "football game". Now Rugby, that is a different matter! Dave_n

I don't watch a lot of football, pro or college, but I tuned into the Super Bowl. While I didn't care much for the half time program, this year's game was first class. Ya'll missed a great match up, with KC making an awesome fourth quarter comeback ...and their first Super Bowl win in 50 years. We now return you to our regularly scheduled programming.

Chief, you remind me of my dear, old dad, (RIP). He wasn't a sports fan either. Personally, I lost interest in the NFL years ago, even before the kneeling controversy. MHO? Football season ended when LSU beat Clemson.

Well, you have heard the expression, "I would rather watch paint dry"? I was in fact watching paint dry. I was outside painting the steel framework for my new outside workbench. I walked thru the TV/Rec room at the end of the 3th qtr., asked my wife what the score was, got an answer, said, "Bought what I expected." and went on to clean up and check my 'puter.

The conduct of the owners, players and sports commentators turned me off about 3 or 4 years ago, so I quit the NFL......No, that is not right, "The NFL quit me."
