Hey, thats great kathy! Thanks for those leads. That will keep us busy! Wonder how the guy can do that w/o crashing? Must have another remote camera somehow to see the broader area to know where and how to manuever. Sure could have fun with that!

That gave me vertigo and made me dizzy. I fell out of my office chair and injured myself... There may be repercussions...

so glad you are enjoying the videos , pretty sweet what one can do now days with cameras and toys ... feralmerrril - the way i hear how he is doing the capture is he wears glasses with a camera so as the airplane is flying he is able to watch where its heading , I havent seen the set up so Im just picking up what others have said on how he is able to do this .. To me it would seem very difficult to watch thru eyeglasses with a camera screen somehow attatched and keep control of the remote airplane, however he is doing it it sure shows some awesome scenery thru that airplane . I know im impressed

jck - Vertigo and Dizzy guess you need a seatbelt on that office chair LOL
you better not watch this one then :)

We rode our quads about two months ago right where that group of quads were. Some of that area shown is around sand hollow a little less than a hours drive from us. Thanks kathy.

Sweet Merril, yet now im wishin i lived closer to you to be able to ride .I havent been to sand hollow as of yet - show more pictures , I know that wife of your has got lots and lots of pictures seems we both have that camera bug , why have 10 pictures when the SD card will hold hundreds LOL -

The title page said Moab. I just spent 2 weeks there and loved it. The river pictures look a lot like the Colorado and either Potash road or Utah 128. I can't tell, the guy flying didn't want you to see the scenery, he wanted to wow you by how close he could fly near the rocks and not crash.

Still good scenery. I love it out there, but can't bring myself to move (grandkids I love even more.) Everyone should see that stuff at least one time in their life.

If you look fast and close where he flys under that bridge (at 3 minuets 50 secounds) it has a sign on it that says "sand hollow state park. That is 50 miles south of us or about 13 miles east of st. george utah. As I said we rode there for the first time about 2 months ago. It was a blast!
I thought I had posted pictures theresa took of that ride here so I checked and found it. Here is the lead again to it.

I just did some googling on the the system they were using on the R/C plane. It's called FPV or First Person View. It has a micro video camera, transmitter and he could have been wearing the goggles that are the receiver and screen or he could just have a video monitor in front of him. It's as if he were flying in the plane himself. Just amazing what they can do with technology today.

get one merril , it will set you back a possible 2 grand !! so once you have your set up I will want to see some cool stuff - how soon before you'll be ready ?? :)
