Went into the local Farm Store(Murdochs). They had most of the popular handgun ammo including 357 Mag($34 box) all kinds of 22 Rimfire and decent shotshell loads too. Many of the standard rifle stuff including 7 Mag -300 Mag which has been absent from everywhere till lately. They had some powders from 30-50 per pound but no primers. Had a Sig 365 on sale under 450 too. Luckily, I don't really need much and what I would probably buy would probably not be found right now anyway. I didn't think the 357 was too crazy priced. I must admit I know the local shooting guy there and he works pretty well keeping the gun dept well stocked. Hasn't gotten my ordered Springfield High Power copy yet though!!

Our "Bi-Mart" store has a full ammo display again for the first time in many months. However, the prices are extraordinary...! High, that is. And they are the ones that are usually good. Haven't looked elsewhere, so the other places around must be astronomical...!

I agree that many prices are much higher than pre pandemic(hate that phrase). Shotshell prices were higher but they were available...better than recent months. Availability is the key word these days. I think prices may come down some. To pre P prices?? Doubtful but we have to look at prices for most everything across the board.... everything has gone up lately...some things ridiculously so. Even 4 or 5 months ago hunting ammo was not available. I'm trying to look forward to better quantities prices should slide if they are way too high. Along with supply...there IS demand. If the prices are much too high...they will lower when sales aren'
t up to snuff. Unfortunately, the panic buying has taught the manufacturers a lesson about us as buyers.

Ammo is back, prices are not. Never will be pre scamdemic, but with some of the emails lately for the big online sellers, I'm guessing some Black Friday deals this year may help bring prices down a little. Just got CCI mining mag for $8.10 a sleeve of 100....anyways, 9mm is $15 a box for all the overseas junk and 1or 2 $ more for real brands. That's too much! Needs to be closer to $12. Anyhow, with diesel at over $5 a gallon cuz of current state of white house, that ain't likely too soon. And of course a new scamdemic after they pull election shenanigans next month, we'll have to wait and see.
