Ammo Anybody?

This pic came up on another Board.
The discussion was M-61 Ammo.
No. 8 is used in the M61 and M39 Cannons.
Recently at a local Gun show I saw several Boys Rifles for sale.
And he also had Ammo for sale!
I’ve seen several of the Rifles but that was my first time to see the 55 cal ammo. No. 12.

I've never seen a Boys still in .55 caliber. The few that I've personally seen had all been converted to .50 to avoid the tax stamp. Interesting display of ammo though.

Back in the 60’s and 70’s Boys rifles were around at gun shows, not many were interested in them. Friend in Va Beach has at least one.

Boys and PTRS anti-tank rifles were widely advertised for sale back in the 1950s at cheap prices.
