I was the GM of a startup ammo company in 2019. We bought components in bulk (while there was availability) including kegs of powder
. By mid 2020, components dried up and prices went off the chart.
We shut it down, couldn’t compete with the big names.
We split the remaining inventory between the partners and I ended up with the keg of 231.

I had no idea! Was that for shipping and then repackaging into smaller containers later? I'm intrigued.

The OP's question is an easy one. Bullseye is just about directly replaced by TiteGroup. In fact, I jokingly call it "Improved Bullseye". I had settled on switching to TiteGroup before Bullseye disappeared. TiteGroup uses nearly the same powder charge, and gives the same range of velocities. It is not position sensitive and turns in excellent Extreme Spread (ES) and Standard Deviation (SD) numbers. I find it to be very accurate. It is commonly available still. For some weird reason internet and YouTube "experts" want to hate TiteGroup. Especially the part about the small volume of powder per charge, and calling it "dangerous". People have been loading that volume of Bullseye for years, and I've never heard that being an issue. You just have to be cautious, methodical, and check each case with a flashlight. I do that for ANY powder charge in any case. Just common safety sense.

Iv'e heard good things about TiteGroup but haven't tried it yet I have so MUCH Bullseye and N310 I haven't needed to try it. Is it a dirty powder compared to the others ?

I use Titegroup. No dirtier than anything else. I've used many powders but don't know that I'd call any of them clean.

Well some are cleaner than others IMO N310 much cleaner than BE but of course all are "dirty" !!

Just got another pound of B the other day. Square metal can...10 bucks...and another pound of 2400...same style can...same price. I don't use BE so I'll use it for trading stock. I had a 4 lb cardboard keg I traded for 4 lbs of 231

I too can no longer get Bullseye. So I got
HP-38 (close to Bullseye), Vihtavuori N320
(close to Unique), and Long Shot. I’ll have
to get Titegroup next.

The above powders appear to work for all
my revolvers I reload for. They seem to be
available at the store I go to. So I’ve been
buying them when they go on sale.

Just curious - what did it set you back?

For light 38 special, 44 special, and 45ACP loads I have used more 700X than Bullseye; for right at fifty years. Mostly because I used a lot of 700X for 12 gauge and it performs much like Bullseye. Lately I have used Titegroup for light target loads also. It burns cleaner I believe.

When Unique is scarce, I fall back on HS6 for more robust loads for the aforementioned cartridges, it is slower than unique, but works well; and I use it for shot shell reloading also.

WST replaced 452AA. Both are good replacements for Bullseye.

WSF or AutoComp are viable replacements for Unique.

I've already switched to Tite Group and 231. Sure wish I could find Unique. Great for .357 Mag and .44 Spl. and Mag.

Try WSF or AutoComp as Unique replacements. I have used both in .32 ACP, 9mm. .38 Special +P, .44-40, .44 Mag "Medium Velocity" (subsonic in revolver) and .45 Colt.

Thanks for the info.. I'll give them a try. I lucked into some off market Unique and 2400 about a week ago so that helps as well.
