Found a limited selection of ammo yesterday at Atwood's in Owasso, OK. Picked up 100 round box of Federal 9mm with interesting packaging. Zip strips?

I've bought 100 round loose packs of Federal's American Eagle brand 45 cal. that come with zip strips. Must be a Federal thing.

That's Wal-mart packaging (hence the WM part number). Maybe Atwoods (or their distributor) bought out some of Wal-mart's stock or perhaps excess directly from Federal after WM stopped selling ammo. If you look on the box you'll likely see something about "not for law enforcement use." IIRC from a post elsewhere on this forum, the bullets are plated vs. actual jacketed ammo.

Seems like most of the online ammo sellers offer it when it's not "OUT OF STOCK." Most reviews say it's good range and practice ammo. All the specs say "Full Metal Jacket." I don't care if it's plated or hand hammered if it works. I'll let you know.

It says FMJ on the box. I've got some of the same ammo. Not sure if it has the WM part number, but I'm sure it is FMJ and not plated. Pretty easy to tell just by looking at the bullet

It works and accuracy is pretty good. I bought and shot a bunch of it back when WalMart still sold it. They had it half off there at the end of their handgun ammo. There's still a few rounds around my place.
