Met an old Vietnam buddy at the gun show today. I and my partners usually have three tables there...but that's another story. I went to sell him some Remington 32-20 he needed and took along some Winchester Q3131 5.56mm. I was going to ask $20/box to the public and was thinking some might think I was gouging. The dealers in there were asking $30 for the stuff (if they had it)!! I ended up selling it to my buddy for $15/box and he was happy to have it. Q3131 is true American made 5.56, 55 grain ammo, and not Q3131A or Q3131A1. The point here is ammo prices for AR type weapons has gone through the roof. CCI Stinger is hard to find as well and now commands a premium.

I've been selling boxed factory brass cased .223 ammo for $1.00/round to fellers in town. There's none around to be had, and the price is fair market value. I saw an online seller advertising some match grade .223 for $1.75/round. That's why I'm done with .223/5.56 and ARs.

I managed to get 500 rounds of Black Hills 5.56 77 gr OTM from Midway just before this ammo went unavailable. I felt a little bad about paying $1/round for it at the time - but not now.

I've got about four hundred 55gr FMJ-BT in .223 and have managed to acquire one thousand rounds of once used brass. I've got enough primers so I just need to get some powder. I can add that to my 3k or so of 5.56 that I already have. As far as CCI Stingers go, got 500 of them Thursday.

W4, what gunshow. I've had a box of 32-20 on order for about 3 weeks. My LGS says the order shows in process but he still has no idea when they'll come in.
