We knew it wasn't over.

I just received an NRA-ILA update in my inbox. I'm sending them a contribution and reading all I can.

We are going to go down the same road that importing M1's went down. When the state dept. proposed to ban the import of those weapons congress introduced a bill to block it as they can legally be imported under federal law. That didn't stop the adm. Obama just signed an executive order and they were banned. If they can ban C&R military surplus rifles they won't have any problem with mil spec ammo.

When the ATF says the ammo is a safety issue for LEO's they aren't talking about state and local police. They are talking about federal LEO's. Anyone remember the Cliven Bundy affair in NV where BLM was challenged by militia from all over the country and the BLM had to fall back. Haven't heard much about that lately have we? The ATF has decided that all 5.56 ammo should be banned and we are about to get an EO regarding that. Hide and watch.

I don't remember the exact statement, but an ATF official testifying before a committee said that the 556 was incredibly popular and posed a danger to LE. I don't tthink it's something they'll get pushed very far but it does pose a threat to all centerfire rifle ammo.

Wasn't it several years ago that the brainiacs tried to declared hard cast bullets as armor piercing........

Causing a run on linotype & tin...........

It will never be over. It's one point the DNC can always use to convince non-gun owners their safety is of utmost importance to the DNC. Whenever they have no other talking points, they can always fall back onto gun control to create controversy. They don't really expect to make any progress - they're merely trying to keep their political base 'concerned'. And we keep falling for it, buying up all available ammo and driving prices up, to to the delight of many dealers.
