Saw in another thread some high prices for brass ammo. This price makes the Russian stuff seem like a really marginal choice to me. Plus, it can be reloaded.

That's a good price for Fed 193. On that deal the 20 rd boxes are actually cheaper than the bulk. Cabela's usually runs sales on their American Eagle 223 around Christmas, a good deal when combined with their coupons.

A quick update regarding Palmetto State Armory: I ordered 500 rounds of Federal XM193F 55 grain FMJ Brown Box on the 19th. It arrived today, 24th. That is pretty fast shipping IMO. Price came to .30 per round including shipping and handling. Where I live, that's a good deal, actually less than I paid for 500 rds. of Silver Bear that I just finished Sunday. FYI, the Silver Bear worked perfectly and is no dirtier than brass I've been shooting. I'd rather not shoot steel cased. I'm sure the Fed Brown Box will work fine.
