I got say this... I'm pretty much passed pissed.

Gun Broker, you have hundreds crack whores flipping ammo. WE ARE long passed reasobale buyers and sellers. These folks are lining up at wally world, LGS's... buying whatever scraps they can and selling it on Gun Broker...

Look at this recent transaction $800 for a case (1000) of 9mm, IT SOLD AT $800... look at the bid history... this smells really dirty..

Federal AE 9mm 124 Gr FMJ 1000 Rounds Free Ship : Pistol Ammunition at GunBroker.com

bn (I feel a tad better now)

The seller is a fairly large gun shop in Butler, PA that buys ammo by the truckload. They formerly sold it in-store to local customers. Now they only allow the local guy to buy one box with a new gun purchase and they are selling the rest for the ridiculous bids seen on Gun Broker.
Store also does the same thing with cherry used guns and AR-15's.

Gun stores like this are WORSE than the idiots buying to re-sell at Walmart. Screw the local customer, go for the big bucks from the credit card wielding masses.

Thats $40 per box of 50...insane. That same Federal target ammo "should" be about $10-15/box max!

Criminal? No. We don't need the gubberment interfering in our economy more than they already do.

Gross and perhaps wrong? Yes

Maybe I'm the sucker but I just can't sell at crazy prices. However, people are doing it to themselves. I set a fair buy it now price on a shotgun on gunbroker and it got bid up $300 past that.

There is nothing wrong with it this is America last time I checked. The best advice is to get over it. I am so tired of threads like this and people complaining about ammo prices. Seriously I been visiting the sight less and less lately. Yea it ticks me off to and yes boycotting certain company's because of there prices. That said I still feel they have the right to do as they please.

This entitled attitude that seems to be more and more prevalent on this forum is disgusting. The way some people act you would think people are denying them air, food, water are some other life sustaining goods. The sad part is the ammo's out there just its not at a price people wanna pay.

Sorry for my rent and I am sure I get a talking to or a ding, but dang man someone needs to come out and say it getting out of control.

I have to agree as I have sold several S&W revolvers on GunBroker these past weeks because I just turned 69 and I have had heart problems so I'm thinning my herd. Quite frankly I post a starting bid just below what I think they should sell for and they are selling way above that and what are you suppose to do. You do the deal and ship the gun.

Let me be SUPER clear….

There are, IMHO 2 things going on:

There appears to be, and I have several threads to back this up… some type of insane price ramping of ammo, sold at a price that is SO OFF the charts, can only be explained as deep pockets. These types of sales set a NEW price point, forcing active bidders to chase a phantom sale price. I already sent my comments to "Sellers" alerting them that the party will end. I' m not blaming THE SELLER in the link.. I'm showing you all that a game is active.
Second, the ammo crack whores… I'm talking about the hundreds of "NEW" sellers on Gunborker with no previous background selling 100 rounds here, a couple of boxes there… This would be in violation of the law.. it is clearly a "sales" with the purpose income / profiting…

I'm all about Liberty, Freedom, get over that part of posting and look at what is going on.

Hopefully its ok to link a locked thread special when its related to the topic at hand

Hopefully this will help clear up the legality of it for you.

I am guilty of selling all of my AR15's, Pmags and .223 ammo. Some one was willing to pay a much higher price that I paid for them years ago. I couldn't help it they held cash to my head.....

Plan on buying new upgraded equipment when things settle down.

"Crack whores"? What are you talking about? Do you even know what a "crack whore" is?

You are wrong: nobody is forcing anybody to do anything.

Price too high for you? Here's some advice: don't buy it. As soon as people quit buying, the price will drop.

As for your "it is clearly a "sales" with the purpose income / profiting…" comment; every sale I have ever made has been with the intention of income or profiting. You got a problem with that?

Lighten up, Francis.

Thank you for adding info, I did follow that thread... I disagreed with almost all of the "Capitalism" claims... We are not seeing a free market.

Let's move on and call a spade a spade... there are hundreds of NEW sellers of ammo on gun broker, with absolutely no other transaction but AMMO. That is criminal.

I so pissed... I shoot steel comp... and I have a good stock... but I go through alot... I'm starting to pay $25 a box for 45acp... and totally refuse to pay 800 dollars for 9mm...

Eventually, some of you "free market" talkers will need to buy ammo... and as you do, you'll see, it ain't no free market... at this time.

We are our own worst enemy, funny how quickly we turn on each other just to make a buck.

Though, these people who turn into resellers (not talking about the odd box here and there, but the ones who wipe shipments out for reselling) SHOULD be acquiring business licenses locally.

Glad I don't need to buy ammo or components, locally several fights have broken out when shipments have arrived I've heard.... I've been set for a while and can hang on for a little over a year.

Crack Whores is correct.

Honestly, nothing personal, but hundred of sellers.. of ammo... and no other background sales?

Some of you need understand why liberals can get away with gun regulations... and this ammo thing is engineered.

I really, don't understand how fracked this all will need to get before any sun light returns.

Winchester is 8 months behind on current commitments... you'all get ready in a month from now when 9mm sells for $1200 a case... and tell me its capitalism.

There is history lesson for many in tulips... google it.

No, read the link again, it is clearly NOT CRIMINAL.

So you're pissed. Does it look like I give a ----? If you refuse to pay $800 for a case of 9mm I guess you are SOL and will have to find a new hobby. Time to break out that pink velvet crying towel.

It IS a free market. YOU clearly want to stop it and get the "price police" involved". Not me.
