Yes. You can fire any and all factory loaded .38 Special in it, whether it's marked +P, +P+ or whatever. It is a heavy frame revolver and it was built for the singular task of firing very heavily loaded .38 Special. And some of that early ammo was loaded to higher pressures than anything that is commercially loaded today.
