Because I am in Law Enforcement, friends of mine decide that I am a good place to dispose of ammo that has been sitting in their elderly relative's homes. Some of it is old/ unusual. I have accumulated a lot of it, and have decided to start researching them. I'll just start with three for now.
1) This box was given to me with the "You got a .38, right? I found these bullets in my parent's house". It has 8 rounds in the box. I'd like to figure out how old it is.
2) The next one was also given to me because I "have a .38". I was going to shoot it, but the box is really nice and completely full. I'm guessing its from the 1950s?
3) This is a weird one. It is unopened, so I have no idea what the rounds look like. Someone told me they might have been a duplex-style round. Is it rare? If anyone can shed some light on this stuff, I would appreciate it.
As always, thank you in advance for your help.
