Ammo not loading, firing, or ejecting

Well took my M&P10 out for the first time. Shot one box of ammo just fine. Then next thing you know it won't load the round properly. When it does load it won't fire. It also will not eject the round. I am such a freakin idiot. After disassembling rifle and making sure everything is functioning like it should I finally figured out the problem. I did not notice someone had placed a box of lever action .308 cartridges with the regular .308 ammo. At a glance there is no noticeable difference. After closer examination the lever action ammo is just slightly smaller in length. When I realized the problem after all my frustration I felt relieved, felt like an idiot, but relieved. Just glad nothing really bad happened. Never a good idea to use wrong ammo.
