As a followup to another thread, I plan on shooting stout 125gr Golden Sabers in a 66. This is from an ample supply for my Python. Any forcing cone issues predicted for this projectile?

I doubt it; Golden Sabers are sort of 3/4 Magnums. They are faster than .38 Spl +p, but slower than full-power .357, in their bullet weight. I like them a lot.

I have stayed away from 110 and 125 grain 357's in my K Frames due to all the hupla with them raising havoc on the forcing cone area. I now shoot 158 grain 357 Mag's in those K's with no issues. Older K's should be fed a somewhat limited diet of the Mag's IMHO. For heavy use of Magnums I use a L or N frame revolver.

The Blazer 158gr has a somewhat lower velocity at around 1150fps according to the factory. The golden sabre 125gr I believe are about 1220fps. Kind of a wash I suppose but both would be okay I imagine.

Shooting 125gr Golden Saber ammo in your M66 should be fine. Like said above, it's a lighter load than most full power .357 Magnum loads. The forcing cones were having problems with those 1450 fps 125gr loads of the past. You probably have to look very hard to find any ammo like that coming out of a factory today.
