Hey guys.
I’m new around here and drifted over to this area just to get some opinions. I got no farther than this one. I see where it has been discussed before and it is a sore subject for some.
I’ve got a little stash as I saw mentioned. I’m thinking about buying some powder and primers and dragging out the old reloading equipment. I haven’t done any in about 27 years (moved and never unpacked it, had loaded up tons before moving), but the hardware needed is still okay. Some of it may be antiquated, but it’ll still work. My son’s interested in reloading too.
I intend to buy some factory stuff, a little at a time too. I feel confident that one day and I may not live to see it, but the time will come where one will have to defend his life, his families, and their possessions. We may not be that far away.
Then I got to thinking, and this is one of my crazy sceneries, but who knows the recent shootings by the crazies might have more to them than meets the eye. Bear with me, I read the other day about the guy that did the shooting in Arizona and his sentencing. I believe they said a psychiatrist or psychologist deemed him schizofrenic or something. It doesn’t really matter; the bottom line is he was crazy.
Now here’s my crazy scenario. If the radical Muslims could come to the US, hijack 4 planes and do what they did, who’s to say they couldn’t be playing a part in this too, or that the evil powers that want to take our guns aren’t behind this. All they would have to do is snag some individual, brain wash them, give them the needed weapons or take them to the gun store and turn them loose.
After each deed has been perpetrated, there is more ammunition to take away our guns and ammo. After all, I read recently where one Japanese general or someone in the regime during WWII said, he would never invade the US because the citizens were too well armed. That’s just the basic gist.
If we can be disarmed then we’re a sitting duck. Just a crazy scenario I dreamed up.
I’ll stop there, but leave you with two quotes I got a while back and some may know them and I haven’t verified them. Supposedly, they come from Thomas Jefferson and go like this:
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, is to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.
Think about it.
