Yeah , I'm seeing ammo , but usually only premium hunting or carry ammo at $1 a round , or FMJ ball-type at $0.50 a round.

Went to my local Gander Mountain last Friday. The shelves were stocked full of Pistol Ammo in all Flavors and Calibers.
The Wal Mart near me also had a good supply.
Could it be, the glut is over?:)

No Wal-Mart in Lake City, Fla had plenty of shotgun ammo, but shelves were pretty much empty of handgun stuff last Friday.

North of Seattle (9-18) lots of 12 gauge, 20, .410 field loadings, no Buck. Spotty for hunting rifle loads. Strangely the ONLY box of Winchester White box, was a box of 22/250 rifle stuff? Absolutely ZERO of any loading in any caliber of handgun stuff. This has been a constant pattern here, for 13 months now.

wal-marts here in ohio are good for a few boxes each week of different cal. but they dont last long and you have to be prettty lucky to score there. but i have had much better luck at dicks sporting goods around town.

I still need a detective to find 22's.

I did get a 100value pak($38.97) and 2 boxes of 50 @ $18.97 at Walmart today in 45Auto

+1 on Gander Mountain Ammo prices. They are high but still cheaper then the Mom and Pop Gun Stores around here.
I go to GM every weekend with one of my Compound Bows and spend a hour in the Archery Range. I like a 70lb draw and need to stay in shape for it. I look at the Ammo supply every time I go. Last weekend was the first time in about 6 months the shevles were completely stocked full.

Can't find nothing in .38/.357 at Wal Mart around here. Pawn stores have it, for around 22.00 for fifty .38's, and 29.00 for the same amount of .357's. To me, these prices are absolutely ridiculous. I think the election fear and scare is over now; now they are just slipping it to everybody on the prices. As long as people keep freaking out and paying it, they'll keep doing it. I'm at a bare minimum in ammo, so I just don't shoot much anymore. I just refuse to give in to these prices. Sure would hate to be driven from this hobby because of crazy crap like this.

We are Rving around the country. I've seen plenty of ammo in VT, PA, WI, MN, IA and MO.

Prices are up. 9mm that used to sell for $9-10 a box is now $13-16. 38 Special $12-16 dollar a box ammo is now $17-21.

22lr is off the charts. $10 bricks of bulk pack crap are now going for $20 to $30 dollars.

Ammo is out there. CHEAP ammo is still scarce.

no ammo on the south side of chicago.

the limited amount of stuff that is on the shelves cost twice as much as what i paid for it last year.

Just got back from WalMart. They had 10 boxes of .40 S&W priced at $29.99 / 100 rounds (Winchester White Box.) Seems like a reasonable enough price, but I don't know what it was selling for before the new President took office. I don't shoot the stuff, so they still had all ten boxes when I left.

Here in the Triad area of NC area, the supply of most calibers is beginning to rebound, in my opinion. Please underline beginning to. There seems to be a good supply of 40S&W and 223. Some area retailers are even trying to hold prices down.

Here in Idaho the supplies are coming back, but I think it is going to be shortlived. Most of the country is in the midst of hunting season. I am of the mind that the commercial companies are pumping out more ammo to help their bottom line due to the season, which I can't blame them. I have a feeling that come Dec. we will be back again to the shortage. Hope I am wrong. Luckily I reload and cast my own and have alot of components and lead on hand.

It's an opinion (and as I well know, everybody has one of the "other" things too!) But because we're discussing an item that heavily uses commodities, as well as labor to produce, along with transportation to get it into our hot sweaty little hands, I'm wondering? Are we not seeing just a bit earlier than other niche' markets, the true effects of printing dollars 24/7 to the tune of how many decimal places?
Just a thought...

Plenty of ammo on the shelves in my area now. Wal-Mart, Dicks Sporting Goods and Bass Pro are well stocked. I guess the "big panic" that the sky was falling and the black helicopters were coming is starting to wear off. The only calibers that are scarce are 38/357. The sales in my area are pretty much back to what they were pre-panic days. It is funny however that the local gun store/range has piles of ammo at ridiculous prices that is not selling (same guy that had his employees cleaning the ammo shelves for resell).
