Ammo Thread Scores

Alright, this may be a farfetched idea... But as you may know the method and links for the cabelas carts is axed...here's the farfetched part... Does anybody have an android (preferably "rooted") device with the items in their cart from previously clicking the link and not hitting checkout? If so PM me because I have an idea. Unless cabelas let's you start emailing yourself a cart again it won't be as easy as before. But there still may be a way. Maybe. This morning I still had a bunch of items in my cart but the link was dead and like a fool I clicked checkout and erased it all. If you haven't clicked checkout and still have the stuff in your cart we may be able to save that cart on your browser.

All of my links are squashed. Dang it. If someone can PM me a few links that actually freaking work that would be great. You would think that Cabela's would not do this since they make their money from us. So freaking mad right now.
 
Won't work. A while back I saved the cart to the wish list and then later put it back in the cart but as soon as I hit checkout, it was gone.

What I am trying to do is save the cart via the phones appdata, not from a wish list. I have a ton in my wish list but it doesn't even add that to the cart anymore before saying OOS. If you notice, it doesn't matter how long you leave your stuff in your cart, it will always be there until you hit checkout, then poof it's gone. Well obviously that data of what is in your cart is being stored somewhere. I was thinking it may be stored locally on the device in the Appdata. What someone would have to do is backup the appdata from the time that the stuff is in the cart and just keep restoring to that data when they want to click checkout again. Its cumbersome but it may be doable. Unfortunately I am beginning to think that the cart data may not be stored locally on the device but in a cabelas server. I tried this earlier with my PC (I still have a bunch on .22 in cart on my PC that I won't dare click checkout on) by copying my appdata and pasting it into the appdata in chromes files for another PC user and everything in Chrome restored to how it was with the original user (favorite, history, etc.) but there was nothing in the cart on the new user. I'd just like for someone to give it a go with an Android phone to see if that data is indeed stored in a server rather than locally. Later tonight when I have time I'll put some random stuff in my cart and try saving and restoring the appdata on my phone just to see if its viable. Maybe one day when im feeling lucky I'll click "checkout" on my PC for one last score :D

I was on another forum that was trying everything they could think of. Linky no worky. It was a heck of a ride for me, to the tune of thousands of $$$$. I am probably set for life in 22lr. Hope the rest of ya hit that hard. I new it couldn't last. BiggB
 
If you still have items in your cart on PC maybe just duplicate your tabs of the cart and leave chrome open for all eternity? Risky but might work. I'll try when I'm back to my computer. It works on my phone but unfortunately all I have on my phone in a cart is the $7.99 box of lead free Winchesters -_-
Edit: Nope, duplicate tabs won't work, just tried it on a different user on my PC and when you click checkout it'll say "changes have been made to your order..." And your cart will be empty.

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. Thank you and Liberty Head for all you have shared with us. I was able to stock-up considerably, but not for life. I wouldn't have anything without your help, thanks again, noshow
 
So I was laying in bed last night and thought I'd check Cabela's on my phone before going to sleep and I scored one of those Remington buckets of ammo. So keep checking those links on occasion!

Were you using a checkout link or just the rimfire page link? Also, was there anything in your cart prior to clicking the link?

I used my phone and I had already placed it in my cart sometime before. I certainly got lucky because I only had two items in the cart and both were in stock (the other was a match grade .22LR, I think). My cart is empty now so it looks like the fun is over.

That's exactly what I figured. If you've got it in your cart you can just take a wild one-time shot at it but once its gone its gone until the links work again. If you already have it in your cart you don't need to click a link to get to it. Just go to the site and view your cart.
From what it looks like it seems that there's probably a lot of stuff people could be scoring on (blazers and buckets) if they still have a full cart.

Cabelas links

I have to laugh. I went onto Gun Bot to see what was going on and what do I see. And they shut down the links. :rolleyes:

In December of 2012 I ordered 4200 rounds in 2 dry boxes from Cabela's at the pre panic prices w/ a coupon to boot.

In Jan of 2014 I actually got it. Do the math on that timespan. We are talking 4 cent per round:)
 
Cabelas is a first class operation. They have not gouged us on 22lr. They have had the opertunty to make $10s of millions on us. BiggB

They must have gotten some in as I was able to back order a bucket a few weeks ago with an estimated delivery date of 4/30 and just a few minutes ago I got a shipment email from Cabelas.

This keeps showing on Gun Bot. Has anyone got it to go to their cart??? I can't. It just shows out of stock.
