This is to everyone who has been trying to reach me by email or the forum communications and also those folks who already have work in progress.

Most of you folks know I do restorations and refinishing part time. Having a full time job kind of negates any other way. I have been negligent and I do apologize to everyone.

Christmas for the whole famn damily is being held at our homestead this year and the wife has deemed it necessary the the family room in the basement and the kitchen need to be "fixed up nice".

I'm not looking for any sympathy because I'm sure a lot of you have been there and done that. Just a little patience. I'm running a little short on it right about now but yours would be appreciated.

So as I labor to keep the little woman happy please keep me in your thoughts. I'd ask for prayers but God would see the humor in this and just let me suffer.:)

I have to do something similiar this weekend..(for Thanksgiving) We are hosting my wifes family. I guess I partially feel your pain. But since she let me go to the Tulsa Show last weekend, I wil do it and mumble to myself...You have my sympathy!

If sympathy is what you are seeking.......

You have mine. It actually happens in the best of families so yours should be no exception. Good luck with the projects and Happy Thanksgiving!

The projects started the first weekend after I moved in. Wedding cake really brings the "project fever" out of a woman. I've had two jobs ever since "I do." The first one I quit, the second one will never end but I get to work at my own pace while she is at her job.

Retirement ain't what I thought it would be.

I feel your pain. I've been under "house arrest" cleaning for the inlaws annual for two weeks. I do not enjoy the Holidays anymore. Work sucks, housework sucks, and then ya get the bill in the mail.

DW,

Brother, I know how ya feel........Between the Honey Do's and dodgin the Grim Reap'r stalkin me, I'm always runnin behind.

Ya got my prayers.

Su Amigo,
Dave

And to think i used to actually look forward to the holidays !!
Been there-Done that fella...
The missus has to decorate for everything.
I swear if WallyWorld carried decorations for
Groundhog day i'd be a putting em' up.
Just got all the Fall decorating around the house
put back in the storage shed and she's already on
me about (what should we do about Christmas
lights this year)....Arrrrrrgh
Hang tough

The other side of the coin: my wife is a little blue because we
don't have many coming for Thanksgiving. My parents are still
with us- dad turned 89 yesterday- but my wife's folks are gone
& I'm sure she's thinking about the daughter we lost 12 years ago.
I'm no fan of work around the house but a home full of family
over the holidays is a beautiful thing.
Good luck with your projects & a Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Regards,
turnerriver

That's not all it does to them :(

Caj,

Oh Wise One...The age old question begs for yur wisdom as to how oh why,

That a lit'l bite of Weddin Cake and a hand full of Rice can cause one
to gain twenty pounds on the way to the Honeymoon Cabin? .;):D:eek:

Su Amigo,
Dave

Oh, y'all jest keep 'em cards and letters!
