I like to introduce my newest purchase. After an odysee that leads me through a good part of Switzerland in the last three month of serious searching, i've found yesterday a Model 39-2.
I could'nt have a close look at it, before i bought the gun, but i sat close enough to "feel" that the gun is in good shape.
Later at home i found out, that the gun was only testfired. I decided to clean and oil the gun and run it through a functionaltest. I packed some Swiss-Army-ammo in my gun-case and went to the range. The S&W semi-autos are not known as accuracy-wonders, so i don't expected to much, when i rack the slide the first time. Here are the pics.
The LNIB-39-2
Let's do it like the Swiss do.
It's never easy with a new gun. In my case is it much more difficult to get the feel for a semi-auto.
But things goes better and better.
Y-E-S !!!
...and some fun, but not very fast. This gun makes me to shoot lower and lower, when i try speed-shooting. Practice, practice practice.
I tried to make some very good 25-meter-groups. But i shot always a 7 or 8 and ruined the group.
(The hits outside of the black part were made by the fast-shooting-tests.
