I just got a Model 36, flat latch with diamond grips. That is my question, does anyone have the information on when the diamond grips began and more importantly to me, ended? According to Roy Jink's book it was made prior to 1969 but that is always a question too...

I believe the diamond grips went away 67-68. Probably not all at once.

I believe SCSW says flat latch went away in 1966,diamond grips in 1968.
