Yesterday I went to a local gun store to ask how much they would charge for just a transfer on a receiver I want to order. While I'm there I see a very nice Model-14. After few moments of contemplation I adopt it and it follows me home. I wasn't planning on buying anything at all but, the last time I hesitated I missed out on a really nice Model-15.

Serial number is 16K31XX, which from what I can figure out from other posts here dates it as late 1976 to mid 1977. Price was $450. Gun looks brand new. No holster wear, cylinder drag line is very light. Gun is very tight mechanically. Trigger stroke is smooth and feels shorter than my other revolvers.

I have been on a revolver kick for the last year or so. Trying to re-acquire all the models I traded away to get the next best thing. But, as a young rookie police officer I couldn't afford to buy without selling something at the time. Now, after 25 years, I have a little more disposable income. I also bought the Model-14 because I am a huge fan of Adam-12 (which influenced me in my career selection) and have been watching reruns on a local channel lately. Now I need to find the (blued) Model-15 again (I have a nickel one, but it doesn't fit my inner Adam-12 fan).

I'll work on getting some pictures posted.

Well, now your hooked. Nothing beats a adjustable sight K frame in .38spl for plain ol' shooting fun.
Sounds like you got a good one. 400+/-50 is about right for a good example.

Here's a picture 'til you post yours!
