Briefly... last Saturday afternoon I found a 28-2 ANIB... maybe actually NIB unfired. It has a 6" barrel. It has no blue wear on the sharp corners. It has the little magna grips. The box is in very good/excellent condition. The label is numbered to the gun. The papers are in the box. The tools are missing. The price is $575 plus tax. It is on consignment and there is little room for haggling. I'm on my way to the hospital to visit a husband and wife with a new baby! Then I'll head north to another hospital to visit another happy family with a new baby! Then... I'll be heading back south toward home. I am highly inclined to swing by the gun shop and glance again at the 28-2. What do ya'll think? Appreciate your thoughts as to the revolver, price, etc. By the way... same person had on consignment a heavily used COLT Police Positive for $450 and a S&W 10-5 for $250 with heavy blue wear and slightly loose lock-up and a Beretta .22LR pocket pistol for $175.

Buy it quick. If you don't it let me know and I will buy it. I love 28's. ANIB I would snap it up for that. Keep us posted.

Bill

Going out the door now to the hospitals. Money is in my pocket. If it is there I will almost certainly buy it. My birthday is Oct. 9th. I am going to "suggest" to my wife that she consider it my birthday present. Failing that permission, maybe I can get forgiveness.

It's been 45 minutes already. Have you gone back and bought it yet?!?!?!?

Yeah, 575, I would use my credit card if I had too! I paid 550 for a nice one with no box, nada! That sounds like a super nice gun and deal.

You and I share the same Birthday. Go buy the gun now and it can be our present. Keep us posted and send pics please.

regards
Bill

It's the best gun and best deal of the several that you mentioned.Buy it.

Got to the shop and it was gone. I am sorry to have disappointed everyone. I had to go to the hospital and make the visits to the families. It was a little over 150 miles plus the time it took in traffic, etc. The shop owner said he knew what I was there for but that it had been bought late Saturday afternoon. Again, I am sorry to have caused anyone trouble.
