Another .22

This one's a Winchester model 75 target.
Guess it was made in 1939.
Fine shooter had to send some.....OK a bunch down range already love the peeps on this.

The picture was from the range.
Dialed it right in.
Blew out the red dots on the target way to quickly then went to all reactive and never looked back.

The 75 is a excellent target gun and one that can still be found for reasonable money on occasion. Looks like you got yourself a winner!

A real beauty for sure. Love to see the craftsmanship and build quality that went into those early .22s They should sell for much more in my opinion considering the build that went into them. Bet it would cost plenty if made the same today!

That always the question I have in my head these days is what would these exceptionally built firearms from days gone past cost to build today. And in the case of the Winchester 75, I believe the used prices are a bargain for the quality and finishes you receive.

Fine rifle, second only to a 52. In local area it's not seen as often as 52s.
Today a rifle to approach a Win 75 would be $1K at least. In the 50s there were a lot of municipal rifle teams sponsored by PDs and VFDs. Most didn't have money for 52s or 37 Rems. There were a lot of 75wins and 513 Rem.

What ammo are you going to use?

Same goes for other older built guns like a Remington 700,1100,or 870 Wingmaster. Have seen them priced in the $350 range. Would rather buy a used older model over these "bargain" made jobs flooding the market.

That day I had Winchester T22 and Aguila standard. The T 22 it liked more but I'll try a bunch of stuff along the way.
Probably no high dollar stuff though.
