I seem to just run into the weird ones. Added ugly front sight, wrong grips, poor finish, rear sight was adj., but all wrong. Removed it. 6 1/2" barrel. Good action, shoots OK for a 110 year old revolver.
Was the adjustable rear sight a "Wonder Sight," attached to the frame via the top side plate screw ? Ed.
Glowe: Nice refinishing job. What kind of blue did you use?
Yes. The stocks are from the post-1968 period. They do seem to fit nicely.Your grips are a later addition, since most had black hard rubber grips.
S/N on butt, barrel & cylinder is 6953.
The marks look like there from screws pressed onto the butt.
Maybe some kind of target stocks? Who knows.....
