Evening All! Title says it,,, another 686,,, yet another question.
Came across a 686-1, 8 3/8" with adjustable front sight. AUX206x serial. Original box with product code 104227 dates to late 1987 (ord 7287). Appears factory-fired (every other cylinder) and has M in frame. Extra factory label on end would indicate return??, possibly for the hammer nose/bushing mod?. First I recall seeing with two labels. Or was this just a barcoded label added to original before first shipment???

Question: Has anyone ever run production numbers on how many were made with the adjustable sight? I have seen a couple, both 6" & 8 3/8".
