RIP Ronnie Corbett, the short half of The Two Ronnies duo who were very popular in the 70s and 80s. Maybe some of you who were stationed in the UK will remember the show. The other guy, Ronnie Barker, passed in 2005. They worked together many times over 40 years and apparently never had a cross word.

Some of Ronnie Corbett's best gags are in the following links. These were usually delivered with the pair of them sitting behind a desk like newsreaders. On numerous occasions the one guy would have a straight face failure at the other one's jokes.

You might like the video on this page of the pair of them playing customer and clerk in a hardware store, the infamous "Four Candles" sketch.

Me mum called to tell me of this. She loved them and all British comics (me too)

When I write or say something funny, I think like a Brit. Of the few gifts I possess I am most grateful for that.

Mom has many recordings of The Two Ronnies and I'm sure we'll be dragging them out soon.

Ta!
