Hello Smith & Wesson Forum Members. I am new to the forum. I purchased a pair of heavy barrel model 10's for some double action point shooting. This is something I have been wanting to do for a long time and I figured I better get started or I won't get it done. I wanted a nice double holster rig like you used to could buy in the old days. I googled leather holster makers and this feller by the name of Dave Keith kept coming up. So I go checking into his style of holsters. It's called a "Brill" style holster. Well I get to thinking this just might fill the bill, just what I need. I find this Dave Keith's feller's email address and I send him a request for this double holster rig, he replies that he would build this rig for me, as he is a two gun man his self. In the mean time, I'm showing my middle daughter pictures of Mr. Keith's work, she says "Well order me one of those too!!" She's wanting to get her husband something special and couldn't think of anything any better (I'll take credit for raising that one right). Now I got to call Mr. Keith back and tell him to double the order. Mr. Keith graciously accepted the order. One day I get an email that our double holster rigs are ready, complete with matching pants belts (we had to go all out) and I have never been more impressed, the workman ship is out standing. I now have an old style classic double holster rig for my model 10's. I don't think this is going to stop with the model 10's, as I have a few more pairs that I need leather for. I like matching two gun outfits as I have seen pictures of Mr. Keith, I believe he does too !!! Anyway here is a picture of my model 10's (sporting Patrick Grashorn's smooth no-bark elk grips) in their new "Dave Keith Classic" rig.

There's no doubt about it. Dave makes a darned good-looking, high-quality rig. I've got a couple of 'em myself.

You did it up right, that's for sure. Nice looking rig. And the Grashorn stags are the icing on the cake(s).

And welcome to the forum! Lots of nice folks here. Enjoy your visits.

Well...just from the conversations I've had with him, and from what I've picked up from this forum, guys like Dave and Iggy could've probably given Elmer a run for his money.:D

I've seen a video clip of Dave shootin' two from the hip,and doin' a right decent job of it. Me? I am numbidextrous, clumsy with both hands.

Well, maybe so, but ain't nothing wrong with your "typing fingers" Iggy. You turn out some right decent prose !

Ky Cowboy, mighty nice rig you got there. I'm thinking the two pouches are for "speed strips ? How many go in each pouch when loaded ?

Mr. Keith and Mr. Grashorn are both fine craftsmen, as well as fine members of this forum.

You have some real smith-wessonforum.com memorabilia there.
